The Vietnamese Dragon

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing a fellow that keeps himself in really good shape and thought that I'd share some of his training and dieting for my readers...Introducing Patrick Nguyen "The Vietnamese Dragon."

"Alright Patrick, so I hear you came over to the United States for a better life.  What was it like living over in Vietnam?"

Patrick:   "Ugh, its like umm..well like kinda poor over there, ya know"....

Admin:n   "Mostly everybody's poor huh?"

Patrick:    "Its a better life over here."

Admin:   "Do you ever get home sick and want to go back and live or"...

Patrick:   "Yeah, I always want to go back to Vietnam."

Admin:    "How old were you when you left Vietnam?"

Patrick:   "I left Vietnam when I was 6"....

Admin:   "6 years old, okay"

Patrick:   "But, umm......but I never came to America until I was 14."

Admin:   "I guess its safe to say that there were no GNC or supplement stores there huh?"

Patrick:    "No, nothing"....

Admin:   "Hey, now I've seen you train with heavy weights but your style of training is geared     more to using lighter weights and high repetitions, so what is your reason for training that way?"

Patrick:   "Umm...I don't want to get too big"....

Admin:   "Because the ladies like you"....

Patrick:   (laugh) "The Girls,...the girls want me slim and trim."

Admin:   "Okay, what's your bodyfat percentage right now?"

Patrick:   "5 percent."

Admin:   "I'm going to ask you a question that many young men your age get completely wrong but I know that you think the opposite.  They think that the majority of women out there like a man with big hulking muscles but that is so far from the truth.  So what are your experiences with women and what do they think of men with big muscles?"

Patrick:   "I think it depends, you know on different woman.  But girls around me, think like aah, the cutter you know the better."

Admin:    "Yeah, the more cut and slim down you are and not walking around with a big neck."

Patrick:   "Yeah"....

Admin:   "How often do you train arms?"

Patrick:   "Honestly I don't work my arms that much. I focus more on my body, like chest."

Admin:    "Alright, what exercises do you do for legs?"

Patrick:   "I don't really work out my legs but I run sometimes.  The main thing is I do flips like back flips to keep my legs strong."

Admin:   "Backflips?  You mean you do breakdancing with the spinning around and flipping?"

Patrick:   "Uh huh, yep.  One day I'm gonna show you." (laughs)

Patrick:   "When I watch a movie and see someone like jackie chan do a move, it don't have to be the whole thing but if I think that move is real tight I will practice just that with combination moves."

Admin:   "Yeah, I see.....interesting."

Admin:    "Now in order for you to stay in great shape, what types of foods do you eat?"

Patrick:   "I eat anything that my mama cook, but like lately I try to eat a lot of eggs and rice, fish, tuna and things like that."

Admin:   "Okay Patrick, its been a pleasure.  Keep up the training and maybe we can do this again."

Patrick:    (shaking hands) "anytime."

A Fun Fact...
